Tak tohle je tedy věc! Sice je tahle interaktivní kniha s jednoduchým názvem Jak fungují auta určena pro děti od 7 let, ale u nás zaujala hned tři generace obou pohlaví. Zdálo by se, že 22 stran textu je moc málo, ale jsou tak nabité informacemi, že je nemůžete číst jako pohádku před spaním. U téhle knížky musíte být bdělí a musíte u ní opravdu přemýšlet. A mluví – li se o tom, že je vhodná pro sedmileté chlapínky a slečny, mělo by se mluvit i o nutné asistenci dospělých.

Hned první strana obálky má pro vás překvapení – odtržitelnou pracovní desku, opatřenou shora dolů čísly a z leva do prava písmeny. Přitom je plná dírek, do kterých zasunujete šroubky a stavíte na ní. Naopak v úplně zadní části – ve vlepeném papírovém boxu – najdete 47 různých dílků, 12 šroubků a matiček a 9 funkčních mechanismů. Z toho všeho si postavíte báječné a opravdu funkční věci. Tyhle komponenty jsou z pevného, hladkého a různě barevného kartonu, který se neohýbá a je až nečekaně pevný. Takže: začínáme!

Už v obsahu, který je tentokrát na začátku knihy, se dozvíte, co všechno se tady dozvíte. Hned v úvodu je tu něco informací o autech obecně a další kapitoly nazvané třeba Ovládání, Motor, Písty, Akcelerátor a třeba taky Rychlosti nebo Brzdy říkají, že vás čeká opravdu technická záležitost. Já jsem úplně nadšená z obrázků, kterých je tu habaděj a jsou líbivé a velké tak akorát. Ve spodní části každé stránky najdete něco o historii automobilismu, celé je to souhrnně nazvané Časová osa a tak se vaše ratolesti dozví, že v roce 1769 byl prvním samostatně se pohybujícím pozemním vozidlem parní vůz Nicolase – Josepha Cugnota, že byl poháněn párou a dosahoval rychlosti 3,6 kilometru v hodině. Tato poučná a zajímavá sekce končí představením elektronické parkovací západky u elektromobilu Roadster firmy Tesla v roce 2008. A mezitím vším je spousta názorných obrázků a vysvětlení, jak co a proč funguje v praxi a samozřejmě návod na to, jak si to můžete postavit vy na svojí pracovní destičce. Já jsem sice řidičž mnoho let, ale o uspořádání válců toho opravdu moc nevím. Tedy teď už ano.

Celkově vzato, tahle knížka se opravdu povedla. Myslím, že je to nápad na pěkný dárek, bez ohledu na roční období. Věřím, že mi potvrdíte, že jsem se nemýlila!
